Are you ready for another Public Test, because we released a new one today for you to check out if you wish!
This Public Test will introduce a few game changes we want you to test out, and it also includes some important updates to the way that saving and loading the game works in the hopes to improve everyone's experience.
For players connecting to the Public Test through the Xbox Insider Flight, there is something important that you need to be aware of.
When you join the Public Test through the Xbox Flight program, all of your saves will be converted and saved to work only with game versions 0.5 and higher as you will be helping us to test out our new game saving and loading experiences. They will remain locked to the Public Test until the update is pushed out to live service. This means if you decide to leave the Public Test before the update is pushed out to live service, you will not be able to access your game files. and if you do try to access them on the live service, it will cause your game to crash. Anyone who joins the Public Test who wishes to leave before the test is over will need to create a new game save to play on until the test build is out on live service.
To prevent this, it is recommended that you create a new save of the game you wish to play on the Public Test, or to start a new game altogether on the Public Test build. If you wish to play your current game on the Public Test, this may be something you wish to try.
For players connecting through Steam, this does not apply to you, but as we are in the early development phases, there are always risks involved so you may also wish to make a copy of your save to use on the Public Test as well.
